The Articles, Essays, and Notes submitted and published in the Ateneo Law Journal are scholarly works written by members of the Philippine Bar — whether a professor, practitioner, judge, legislator, or public servant — with the exception of those written by members of the Journal’s Board of Editors, and the students of the Ateneo Law School whose theses are worthy of publication in the Journal. Commentaries, speeches, and products of noteworthy legal conferences or conventions are also published.
All works submitted must present a clear analysis of legal issues and must embody a discourse of legal ideas and opinions. Publication is subject to the discretion of the Board and all works submitted shall undergo the same editing process adopted to maintain the quality of the works published in the Journal. All works submitted must not have been previously published, either in print or online.
