Release of the 2016 edition of the Legal Citation Guide

The 2016 edition of the Ateneo Law Journal’s Legal Citation Guide is now available.

The new edition includes, among others, updated citation formats for social media, case texts available online, European case law available in the new EUR-Lex database, as well as formal rules in citing court documents. Old citation formats have been updated and made simpler, and the contents have been rearranged to make it easier for students and lawyers alike to find and use proper citation formats.

Admission of New Members for Volume 61

On 22 August 2016, the Board of Editors, of the Ateneo Law Journal admitted new editors for Volume 61, namely: Angelli Camille P. Ancheta, Ma. Carmel M. Baquilod, April Joy B. Guiang, Angelo Francesco F. Herbosa, and Jason L. Sy.

The five students were chosen after a rigorous admission process and are currently undergoing training, in order to inculcate in them the Journal's grand tradition of excellence. They are also tasked with balancing the trials and tribulations of studying the law, while carrying the torch


ALJ alumnus Chief Justice Corona passes away

The Ateneo Law Journal extends its condolences to the family of Honorable Chief Justice Renato C. Corona, who joined our Creator last 29 April 2016.

Chief Justice Corona was an alumnus of the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law and one of the distinguished former Editors of the Journal. His previous works in the Journal include The Use of Corporate Control Devices, 35  Ateneo L.J. 50 (1991).
