Board of Editors

The Journal is a fully student-run legal publication. Its Board of Editors is composed of students who underwent a rigorous admissions and training process. The Board has the primary responsibility of editing and producing each issue of the Journal and has the secondary responsibility of fulfilling other administrative functions to ensure the continuous operation of the Journal.

Ray Maynard J. Bacus

Ray Maynard J. Bacus graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a major in Legal Management and a minor in Entrepreneurial Development. Currently, he is a 3rd year student at the Ateneo Law School. He joined the Journal for its 58th Volume. He was the Associate Lead Editor of the 3rd issue of the 58th Volume. He is a member of the Journal's Layout Committee and Information Systems Committee.

Noelle Jenina Francesca E. Buan

Noelle Jenina Francesca E. Buan graduated with honors from Ateneo de Manila University in 2011 with a degree in B.S. Management, Major in Legal Management. She is currently a fourth year law student at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law. She joined the Board of Editors of the Journal for its 57th volume and was an Associate Lead Editor for the second issue of the same volume. She is currently a member of the Executive Committee, the Lead Editor for the fourth issue of the 59th volume, and the Head of the Finance Committee. Her published works include Running for Office, Running the Clock: Analyzing the Recent Regulations Limiting Political Advertisements for the 2013 Elections, 58 Ateneo L.J. 263 (2013) with Patricia Anne D. Sta. Maria.

Leon Ma. Angel P. Caguioa

Leon Ma. Angel P. Caguioa graduated from Ateneo de Manila University in 2011 with a degree in B.S. Management and a Minor in English Literature. He joined the Journal in 2012 for its 57th volume and was an Associate Lead Editor for the second issue. He was also the co-lead editor for the Journal's special issue commemorating the Eminent Person Lecture Series, featuring Excma. Sra. Encarnacion Roca Trias, along with Patricia Sta. Maria. For the 59th volume, he is the Lead Editor of the second issue, which has the theme "The Three Branches of Government: Interdependence and Independence." Currently, he is the Head of the Journal's Subscription and Distribution Committees. He is a fourth year law student in Ateneo de Manila University School of Law. His published works include The Crime of Offending Religious Feelings and Carlos Celdran, 58 Ateneo L.J. 400 (2013) with Atty. Patricia Anne O. Escalona.

Kenneth Paul T. Cajigal ✝

Kenneth Paul T. Cajigal graduated from the University of the Philippines Manila with a degree in B.S. Nursing. He joined the Board of Editors of the Journal for its 59th volume. Aside from being an editor of the Journal, he is also an appointed commissioner in the Ateneo Law School Commission on Elections and Judicial Appointments. He is currently in his second year of law school.

Miguel Luigi L. Calayag

Miguel Luigi L. Calayag graduated with honors with a degree of A.B. Political Science and a Minor in Chinese Studies from Ateneo de Manila University in 2013. He is currently a second year law student at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law. He joined the Board of Editors of the Journal in 2014. He currently serves as the Associate Lead Editor for the third issue of the 59th volume.

Paolo Miguel S. Consignado

Paolo Miguel S. Consignado graduated from Ateneo de Manila University in 2012 with a degree in A.B. Political Science. He joined the Board of Editors of the Journal for its 59th volume. Aside from being an editor of the Journal, he is also a member of the Ateneo Society of International Law (ASIL). He is currently a third year student at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law.

Fidel Maximo M. Diego III

Fidel Maximo M. Diego III graduated from the University of the Philippines-Diliman with a major in Journalism. Currently, he is a 3rd year student at the Ateneo Law School. He joined the Journal for its 58th Volume. He was the Associate Lead Editor of the 2nd issue of the 58th Volume. He is a member of the Journal's Distribution and Subscription Committee. 

Eleonor Dyan R. Garcia

Eleonor Dyan R. Garcia graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2011 with a degree in A.B. Management Economics. She is currently a third year law student at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law. She joined the Board of Editors of the Journal for its 58th volume and was an Associate Lead Editor for the fourth issue of the same volume. She is a member of the Finance and Subscription Committees. Other than the Journal,she is also a member of the St. Thomas More Debate and Advocacy Society and the News Team of The Palladium.

Klarika Angela C. Garcia

Klarika Angela C. Garcia graduated from Ateneo de Manila University in 2013 with a degree in A.B. Political Science and a Minor in French Studies and European Studies. She is currently a second year law student at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law. She joined the Board of Editors of the Journal for its 59th volume.

Ma. Kimberly T. Magtoto

Ma. Kimberly T. Magtoto graduated from Ateneo de Manila University in 2011 with a degree in B.S. Management, Major in Legal Management and Minor in English Literature. She joined the Journal in 2012 for its 57th volume and was an Associate Lead Editor of the third issue of the same volume. For the 59th volume, she is the Lead Editor of the first issue, which has the theme "Updates to Laws and Jurisprudence." Currently, she is the Head of the Journal's Office Committee. She is a fourth year law student in Ateneo de Manila University School of Law.

Elaine S. Mendoza

Elaine S. Mendoza graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2012 with a degree in AB Management Economics and a Minor in International Business. She joined the Board of Editors of the Journal for its 59th volume. She is currently a second year law student at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law.

Jose-Mari H. Roco

Jose-Mari H. Roco graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2009 with a degree in Management Economics and a minor in History. Presently, he is a fourth year student at the Ateneo Law School and serves as a Member of the Journal's Executive Committee, Head of the Information Systems Committee, and a Member of the Distributions Committee. He joined the Board of Editors of the Journal during its 57th volume and was the Associate Lead Editor for the fourth issue of the same volume. He was also the Lead Editor for the fourth issue of the 58th volume. Aside from being an Editor of the Journal, he assisted in the publication of the 2014 edition of the textbook entitled “Tax Law and Jurisprudence” by Supreme Court Justice Jose C. Vitug and Court of Tax Appeals Presiding Justice Ernesto D. Acosta.

Jewelle Ann Lou P. Santos

Jewelle Ann Lou P. Santos graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines Manila in 2013 with a degree in Political Science. She was also given the 2013 College of Arts and Sciences Most Outstanding Student Award and Best Seminar Paper in Political Science. She joined the Journal in 2014 for its 59th volume. She is currently in her second year of law school and part of the Teehankee Center for the Rule of Law.

Patricia Anne D. Sta. Maria

Patricia Anne D. Sta. Maria graduated, cum laude, from the Ateneo de Manila University with a major in Political Science and a minor in English Literature. She was also the Political Science Program Awardee of the graduating class of 2011. Currently, she is a 4th year student at the Ateneo Law School. She joined the Journal for its 57th Volume and was elected to the Executive Committee for its 59th Volume. She was the Associate Lead Editor of the 3rd issue of the 57th Volume, the Co-Lead Editor for the Special Issue of the 58th Volume, and is now the Lead Editor of the 3rd issue of the 59th Volume. She also heads the Journal's Layout Committee. With Noelle E. Buan, she has previously written Running for Office, Running the Clock: Analyzing the Recent Regulations Limiting Political Advertisements for the 2013 Elections, 58 Ateneo L.J. 263 (2013). Outside of working for the Journal, she also heads the Academics Committee of the Law School's Central Bar Operations.
